Definition

What is lead capture with a digital business card?

Lead capture with a digital business card means the visitor who opens your card page leaves a name, email and optional phone number through a short form, and that record lands in your panel. The business card exchange becomes two-way: instead of calling, you get called. When a record arrives, the card owner and the admin get an email notification; the form carries a privacy notice.

It is kept short enough to fill in a trade fair corridor, on the way out of a meeting or at a property listing: four fields and one button. Requests are listed per card in the panel; which card and when is visible, and a request without follow-up gets an owner. Three numbers are enough at the end of the month: how many requests came in, how many were answered the same day, how many turned into a conversation. To read the request count together with views and clicks see the analytics guide, for card and request routines in a team the team management article; the whole product is on the digital business card page.

FAQ

Lead capture questions, answered

Short answers; see the product page and the blog for detail.

How does lead capture with a digital business card work?

At the bottom of the card page sits a short contact form: name and email required, phone and message optional. When the visitor presses Send, the record lands in that card's contact request list in the panel; the card owner and the account manager get an email notification. The visitor opens no account and installs no app.

What about privacy?

Below the form it says the details are passed only to the card owner and used for nothing else, with a link to the privacy policy. The visitor fills in the form on their own device; the details are used to get in touch. Adding them to a bulk newsletter needs separate consent.

What protects the form from fake submissions?

An invisible trap field and a rule that limits repeated submissions from the same address within a short time; a human visitor never notices them. An odd record that still lands in the list is deleted from the panel.

Can I move requests into my own tools?

On the Pro plan a webhook sends a notification to an address you set whenever a new request lands; the request drops into your sales tool or a spreadsheet at once. For small teams the panel list and the email notification are enough.

Which plan includes it?

The contact form is available on Starter and above and is switched on or off per card. A common arrangement is on for sales, consulting, real estate and insurance cards, off for reception and support cards.
